Here’s what you need to know:
“I’ve got two of these, very happy. Good heat output. Used inside a gazebo”
Now that spring is here, many households will be dusting off their BBQs to enjoy some good food outside when the sun is shining. Saying that, it can get quite cold in the evenings, which is why an outdoor patio heater is a worthwhile investment.
You may think that such gadget would be a costly endeavour, but Amazon’s bestselling patio heater is surprisingly affordable. The Harrier Rounded Standing Outdoor Patio Heater is currently available for £39.99.
The 2,000W heater comes with three settings so you can adjust it to your preference. What’s more, it can be mounted to a wall or attached to its stand, allowing it to be placed virtually anywhere in your garden.

The Rounded Standing Outdoor Patio Heater boasts an overall star-rating of 4.2 out of five based on almost 60 reviews. One shopper said: “Great heater, good value. This works far better than I expected for the price. Definitely recommend.”
A second wrote: “I’ve got two of these, very happy. Good heat output. Used inside a gazebo.”
Somebody else said: “First the seller was extremely patient and accommodating in responding to my queries as we had an outdoor heater for many years and we wanted a similar replacement. The product was easy to assemble with accompanying instructions. It is not too heavy but could benefit from having wheels to make it easier to move about.
“We immediately used it under our gazebo as now it is warmer we have dinner outside and it provided great adequate heat which meant that we stayed outside longer after dinner. The only short coming is that the power cord could be longer as we had to use an extension otherwise so far it is great value for money. Thanks to the seller.”
One person, however, gave the Rounded Standing Outdoor Patio Heater a three-star review because the screw to secure the heater to the poll ‘seems insecure’. It reads: “Wanted to use heater on stand not attached to wall.
“However the actual means of attaching heater to pole by a twist screw seems very insecure. Heater wobbles. Ended up having to adapt ourselves. Didn’t want the heater to fall off the pole.”
Elsewhere, Dunelm stocks a range of outdoor heaters. The Blaze Free Standing Patio Heater is available for £159 and the Glow Wall Mounted Patio Heater is £189.
More affordable options are available at Debenhams. The Portable Infrared Heater costs £99 and the Portable Electric Outdoor Tower Heater on sale for £49.99 down from £129.99.
