UPDATE: |A47 closed to traffic following serious crash in Cambridgeshire News

A major UK A-road is closed to traffic following a crash on Easter Sunday (April 20). The A47 is shut in Cambridgeshire.

Police first confirmed the closure was in place as of 10.30pm. The crash is reported to be ‘serious’ and the road is set to remain closed for several hours.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “A47 CLOSED between Wansford and Collyweston Crossroads, due to a serious road traffic collision. Likely to be closed for several hours. Inc 436/20th refers.”

Inrix, the traffic data company, said: “A47 in both directions closed due to accident from A1 Great North Road (Wansford) to the A43 (Duddington).”
