The villagers continue to be shocked as more revelations come to light

Emmerdale has promised viewers another intense week in the Dales, where residents are still facing the aftermath of Caleb’s attack, Joe Tate’s return and John’s hero status.

In recent weeks, Ella Forster was arrested after she held both Mandy and Liam hostage as she vowed to prove her innocence. Viewers learned how Nate Robinson spent his final few moments as John Sugden accidentally killed him and banished his body to the lake.

During a series of flashbacks, John’s other crimes were confirmed including him replacing Chas’ drugs, smashing the pub window and cancelling her and Liam’s wedding to frame Ella.

Joe Tate returned to the village for Dawn after he fled due to the success of his kidney transplant that saw Caleb suffer the consequences.

Steph’s been struggling to hold it together as she keeps seeing Anthony’s face whenever she looks at herself, causing Jai to dig deeper.

Here’s what’s to come in the Dales…

Caleb and Joe continue to feud…

In the aftermath of Joe’s kidney heist and Caleb growing suspicious of his nephew, the pair have been at odds trying to catch each other out.

Caleb and Ruby are relieved to hear that DI Roberts is concerned about a break-in at the depot rather than Anthony’s disappearance. When DI Roberts leaves, Joe comes over to gloat, and Caleb walls him up. Cain is quick to intervene, and is left worried that things are getting serious.

Later on, Kim is startled to find Cain waiting for her, determined to put a stop to the feud between Caleb and Joe. As Cain and Kim discuss their options, Joe enters and Kim’s quick to give him some home truths in order to keep both him, and Caleb, out of prison.

Meanwhile, a tentative Caleb and Ruby arrive at Home Farm to find Joe and Cain waiting for them whilst Kim braces herself to put an end to this war.

Kim makes a pro

Although the pair haven’t always seen eye to eye, Kim does notice the value of keeping someone like Joe Tate under close surveillance.

When the table devolves into bickering, Kim suggests they call a truce by compensating Caleb. When Kim offers up the land surrounding Caleb’s depot. Caleb’s left with food for thought when Kim is adamant this is her final offer. With the deal done, furious Kim is left alone with Joe.

When Joe gives her his word that he won’t deceive her again, powerful Kim vows to help him keep their enemies close and build an unstoppable empire.

Victoria is left reeling as John’s lie is exposed…

In recent episodes, viewers saw John visit an unidentified man in the hospital before flashbacks showed his true character.

When arriving in the village, John informed everyone including half-sister Victoria that his Army mate Aidan died while at war in tragic circumstances.

Victoria meets John’s ex-soldier mate, Connor. As they reminisce about John, Victoria is left astounded to learn that Aidan is still alive. As Connor opens up to Victoria about what happened in Afghanistan, and reveals that Aidan is in a coma at a hospital in Leeds, Victoria’s left reeling at the revelation.

At the hospital, after being directed, Victoria enters Aidan’s hospital room but quickly leaves, shaken by the truth. Later, John is busted when Victoria reveals that she knows about Aidan. After this revelation, agitated John’s in flight mode, as Victoria berates him for lying.

Billy takes the blame out on Ross…

With things proving difficult for Billy and Dawn since the latter’s unearthed affair with Joe and Billy’s kiss with Manpreet, their marriage hasn’t been plain sailing.

Billy’s left with food for thought when Mackenzie alludes to the idea that Dawn might be having an affair with Ross. Billy picks up Dawn’s phone, but is winded to realise she’s changed the code, only furthering his suspicions. He’s gutted when Joe stokes his theory that Ross and Dawn are having an affair and he confronts Ross on his suspicions. A tussle between the men starts.

After Dawn enters, Billy’s mortified to have accidentally aired his theory about her infidelity in front of Clemmie. Reeling from his mistake, Billy tries to comfort Clemmie, but she wants nothing to do with him, and Billy is saddened to realise his suspicions were misplaced. Devastated to have gotten it all wrong, Billy is later comforted by Joe.

Joe’s riddled with guilt over Billy’s revelation…

When broken Billy embraces him, Joe is riddled with guilt knowing he’s the cause of Billy’s pain. Billy leaves Home Farm, and Joe reassures a guilty Dawn it’s for the best. Billy apologises to Ross for his outburst the day before. When Ross encourages Billy not to let the issues with Dawn get between him and the kids, Billy is left with food for thought….

With Ross’s words on his mind, Billy arrives at Home Farm with some flowers for Dawn. When he apologises for accusing her of having an affair, Dawn’s riddled with guilt and the pair dread breaking the news of their split to their kids. When the kids arrive home, Clemmie’s still wary of Billy.

Lucas asks if Billy will be staying over again, and Billy and Dawn decide they need to explain their divorce. With a heavy heart, Billy and Dawn explain their separation to Clemmie and Lucas, and Billy’s choked to face the reality of moving away from his children. Later on, Billy leaves Home Farm for good, and sympathetic Kim tells him he can stay in the holiday cottage until he finds his own place.

Sarah is furious as Jacob and Kammy go against her wishes…

Recently, Sarah has found herself caught between the affections of both newcomer Kammy and ex flame Jacob as the pair battle it out to win her over.

The boys decide the best way to prove who is most deserving of Sarah is to go against each other in a dirt bike race – one that Sarah proves to be against.

Sarah berates Kammy and Jacob about the dirt bike race and tells Kammy that if he goes ahead with it, they’re over. Later, Kammy confronts Jacob about telling Sarah about the race and tells him that it’s now personal between them, they agree that the race is back on.

The next day, Sam, Charity and Jacob prepare for the race as Cain arrives and reveals he’s there to support Kammy – much to Charity’s dismay. Meanwhile, Vanessa and Sarah weigh up her options of her possible suitors and decide to make a pros and cons list for both. At the track, Cain and Charity place a bet and the race begins. Kammy is in the lead, but is forced to slow down by an obstacle, giving Jacob a chance to slip ahead.

As Jacob reaches ‘the devils leap’ he hesitates, allowing Kammy to barrel towards it first, landing the jump perfectly. When Jacob tries, he doesn’t have enough speed and crashes. When Kammy goes to check on Jacob, he sends him away, full of resentment. Meanwhile, furious Sarah arrives at the start line ready to explode. Jubilant Kammy arrives having won the race, but his joy is short lived when he clocks Sarah’s anger.

Elsewhere in the village…

Vinny has a sudden outburst, telling Gabby he doesn’t want to be a dad and leaving her perplexed. Will she get to the bottom of what is really going on? Panicked, Mack finds Liam knocked out. Chas and Aaron rush out after hearing that Liam’s been attacked.
