Viewers are in for a whirlwind of a week in the Dales

Emmerdale is set for another emotional week as the residents continue to battle their personal demons after some huge revelations.

In recent weeks, Joe Tate’s kidney heist was exposed as Caleb connected the dots. Meanwhile, Dawn decided she wanted to play happy families with Joe, leaving Billy in the dark.

Also, John Sugden’s true colours were finally revealed as viewers watched Nate Robinson’s final moments in the village before his body was tossed into the lake.

Victoria confronted John after learning that his military friend Aidan was indeed still alive and in Leeds hospital, causing John to react.

Caleb and Ruby race against time to save Steph…

Recently, Steph has been struggling to come to terms with the truth of Anthony Fox being her biological father, and has been trying not to spiral since she learned of his death.

Following an appointment with her surgeon, oblivious Caleb and Ruby are heartened to see Steph more positive but shocked when she tells them about her plans to go on holiday. The next day, Caleb is trying to trace the flight number Steph gave him, and becomes worried to realise it doesn’t exist.

Upon going on Steph’s computer, Caleb and Ruby are horrified to find the emails from the plastic surgery clinic. As the surgeon makes the final preparations for Steph’s surgery, he is interrupted by Caleb and Ruby arriving. Despite their interruption, Steph is adamant they can’t talk her out of it…. Will they manage to get through to their struggling daughter?

Steph goes into a meltdown…

Even though her parents try to help, Steph struggles to understand how she can cope now that she knows the truth.

Steph goes into a full meltdown, smashing pots in the kitchen. When he finds out what’s been happening, Ross is distraught for her. As Steph explains her feelings to him, he tries to console her, but Steph snaps, insulting him. Ross withstands the torrent of abuse from Steph until she snaps out of it, riddled with guilt. Filled with self-loathing, Steph grabs a bottle of vodka and flees.

Cain decides to pay Nate a visit…

Viewers will recall that Nate Robinson was accidentally killed by John Sugden and tossed into the lake. His loved ones, however, still believe that he’s at his new job in Shetland.

Tracy gives Cain a card she wrote with Frankie for Nate’s birthday and winded Cain leaves a voicemail for Nate. Listening to the voicemail later, John panics when Nate’s phone gets another call from Cain and accidentally answers it. Eventually deciding to end the call, John drops the phone, struggling to cope with his own web of lies. The next day, when John sees Cain leaving a voicemail for Nate he sees he has another fire to put out…

When Cain tells Moira about his mysterious call with Nate yesterday, Moira is gutted for him. Cain’s bolstered when Moira encourages him not to give up on getting through to his son. After visiting Tracy, Cain’s gutted to find out that she doesn’t have Nate’s new number. Seeing how Nate’s abandoned his wife and child.

After spending some time with Frankie, Cain tells Tracy he’s going to Shetland, determined to have it out with Nate. Later, John comes round to check on Tracy but is nervous to hear that Cain’s going to find Nate….

Sarah makes a major decision…

With Sarah caught between Kammy and Jacob fighting for her affections, she makes a decision for herself after her false pregnancy test earlier in the year.

Sarah reveals to Vanessa that she’s come to the realisation that she doesn’t want a boyfriend, she wants a baby. As Vanessa questions Sarah’s decision, she’s forced to bite down on her concern whilst determined Sarah explains her plans to have IVF.

The next day, Sarah tries her hardest to convince Manpreet IVF is possible despite her condition. Lost for what to tell her, Manpreet’s sympathetic when Sarah seems unable to accept reality. Sarah reveals to Vanessa that she’s been in touch with a few clinics to see if she’s eligible for IVF. When Charity approaches, the pair become flustered. Vanessa tries to get Sarah to come clean to Charity about her IVF plans, but will she open up to her gran?

Elsewhere in the village…

Chas and Liam are disheartened when PC Swirling provides an iron-clad alibi for Ella. Liam and Chas’ shared worry is clear when they’re no closer to finding out who attacked Liam. Sarah encourages Vanessa to make up with Mary.

When Evan is taken into hospital, Billy despairs with guilt but Dawn convinces him that it wasn’t his fault, and he’s comforted by her support. Gail’s over the moon when she finally comes up with an idea for a theme night at the Woolpack.
