The 2025 Tribeca Festival — presenting a world-class lineup of feature, short and documentary films as well as television episodes in New York City for the 24th time — has posted the program for its Academy Awards-qualifying Shorts program. The lineup includes the fest’s largest-ever lineup of animated short films, curated once again by EGOT winner Whoopi Goldberg.
Previously, Tribeca revealed that three animated feature films will be screening at this year’s edition
The winner of the Tribeca Festival’s award for Best Animated Short qualifies for consideration for the Oscars in the same category. Likewise, the Live-Action and Documentary winners also receive eligibility for the next Academy Awards.
Goldberg’s 14 animated selections are split into two programs, screening during the festival’s June 4-15 run.
