Carlos Herrera, Jorge Bustos and Pilar Cisneros, Cristina López Schlichting, Fernando de Haro and José Luis Restán will be some of the presenters who will be at the forefront of this event to continue minute by minute everything that happens in the city of the Vatican

In 2021, Carlos Herrera arrived at the Vatican for an encounter that will go down in history: Pope Francis granted ‘Herrera in Cope’ the first interview with a Spanish radio. Now, the communicator returns to accompany the listeners in a historical farewell: that of a Pope who has marked the world deeply. This Friday, Carlos Herrera will present ‘Herrera in Cope’ From Rome, within the special program dedicated to the farewell of Pope Francis.
That same day, starting at 13.00, ‘Midday Cope’, with Jorge Bustos and Pilar Cisneros, also from Rome, will continue to report live and collect the testimonies of those who have lived closely by Francisco’s pontificate. And at 22.30 Irene Pozo will turn on ‘The Lantern of the Church’ from the Holy See to remember the most emotional and significant moments of goodbye to the Pontiff. On Saturday, from 9.45, Carlos Herrera will once again put COPE deployment from the Vatican to lead the special program that will offer the funeral of Pope Francis.
He will be accompanied by Jorge Bustos (‘Midday Cope’), Cristina López Schlichting (‘Weekend’), Fernando de Haro (‘The morning of the weekend’), José Luis Restán, president and editorial director of Abside Media, and Eva Fernández, Cope correspondent in the Vatican, to follow the minute by minute of this historic day from the Plaza de San Pedro. Cristina López Schlichting and Fernando de Haro will broadcast ‘weekend’ and ‘the morning of the weekend’ from the Holy See Saturday and Sunday to share with the listeners everything that happens during the funeral and burial of the Pope and shed light on the new stage.
