Earlier this year we noted that Advance Publications’ newspapers, known as Advance Local, were following in the paths of other groups* by going with unified comics pages for their print newspapers.
Not long after that news item Advance’s The Oregonian reported to their readers on the changes forthcoming. I saved that story until newspapers.com’s thirty day delay caught up with with the notice.

A letter from the Oregonian editor:
“Never mess with the funnies or the obits.” That’s the advice handed down for generations by grizzled old editors to their deputies.
Welp, we are messing with the funnies in a big way later this month.
More chuckles coming soon. Starting March 18, the daily comics lineup will expand to 96 popular titles in print or in the online newspaper.
We currently carry 37 comics in the daily newspaper’s main editions. That will go to 40 in the main section, with 56 more in the online newspaper’s Extra pages.
On Sundays, we’ll carry 32 of the most popular titles in the print and main online newspapers with eight more comics in the Extra online editions.
So here is a look at the new Advance Locals comics pages.

The print “daily” comics pages lineup of all Advance Local newspapers that carry comics now consist of …
Comic Strips: Adam @ Home, Animal Crackers, B.C., Baby Blues, Baldo, Beetle Bailey, Big Nate, Blondie, Bound and Gagged, Classic Peanuts, Crabgrass, Crankshaft, Curtis, Doonesbury, For Better of For Worse, Frank & Ernest, Frazz, Garfield, Get Fuzzy, Hagar the Horrible, Hi and Lois, JumpStart, Luann, Mother Goose & Grimm, Mutts, Pearls Before Swine, Pickles, Red and Rover, Sally Forth, The Born Loser, Wizard of Id, and Zits.
Comic panels: Bizarro, Close to Home, Dennis the Menace, Hocus Focus, Marmaduke, Off The Mark, Speed Bump, and The Family Circus.
“with 56 more in the online newspaper’s Extra pages”

The Extra comic strips (or panels in a comic strip horizontal format) are: 9 Chickweed Lane, Andy Capp, Arlo & Janis, Arctic Circle, Barney Google & Snuffy Smith, Between Friends, Breaking Cat News, Crock, Daddy’s Home, Diamond Lil, Drabble, Dustin, F Minus, Flo & Friends, Fred Basset, Fusco Brothers, Gasoline Alley, Gil Thorp, Grand Avenue, Grizzwells, Judge Parker, Mallard Fillmore, Mark Trail, Marvin, Mary Worth, Momma, Nancy, Non Sequitur, One Big Happy, Over the Hedge, Phoebe and Her Unicorn, Prickly City, Rex Morgan M.D., Rhymes with Orange, Rose Is Rose, Shoe, Six Chix, Take it From the Tinkersons, The Buckets, The Duplex, The Phantom, Tiger, Wallace the Brave, and WuMo.
The Extra comic (vertical) panels: Carpe Diem, Cornered, Free Range, Heathcliff, In the Bleachers, Loose Parts, Pardon My Planet, Reality Check, Rubes, Spectickles, The Lockhorns, and Ziggy.
It is still not clear to me the difference in fees the papers pay between the print comics and the “online extra” comics. I would guess that the print comics are more expensive and thus those cartoonists receive a larger paycheck than the cartoonists whose creations are relegated to the “extra” pages. Then again those “extra” cartoonists should be receiving more than the comic artists whose works is only seen in The Oregonian’s GoComics and Comics Kingdom online portals.
Anyway The Oregonian listed the daily comics moving from print to “extra:”
Here are the current comics that are moving to the online Extra pages: Breaking Cat News, Carpe Diem, Cornered, Drabble, F Minus, Grand Avenue, Loose Parts, Non Sequitur, Phoebe and Her Unicorn, Reality Check, Rhymes with Orange, Rose is Rose, Rubes, Six Chix, Take It From The Tinkersons, The Duplex, Wallace the Brave and Ziggy.
On to the Advance Local/The Oregonian print Sunday Funnies.

As seen above the Advance Sunday comics page sprint all the comics in the third-page format which, thanks to the now 11″/12″ broadsheet page widths, fit four third-page sized comics to a page.
The Advance Local’s 32 Sunday comics spread over eight printed pages are: B.C., Baby Blues, Beetle Bailey, Blondie, Classic Peanuts, Clost to Home, Crabgrass, Crankshaft, Curtis, Dennis the Menace, Doonesbury, For Better or For Worse, Frank & Ernest, Garfield, Get Fuzzy, Hagar the Horrible, Hi & Lois, Jump Start, Luann, Mallard Fillmore, Marmaduke, Mutts, Pearls Before Swine, Pickles, Prince Valiant, Rose Is Rose, Sally Forth, The Born Loser, The Family Circus, The Lockhorns, Wizard of Id, and Zits.
The two pages of Sunday “online extras” are: Drabble, Foxtrot, Frazz, Mary Worth, Mother Goose & Grimm, Rex Morgan, Rhymes With Orange, and Wallace The Brave.
An observation: This is the first time I have ever seen comics pages laid out alphabetically.
“…following in the paths of other groups*” – in more ways than just consolidation.
