Your EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK at the Batman #655 Facsimile Edition…
DC’s got two Facsimile Editions coming in July — you can read about the other one here — but this one, 2006’s Batman #655, has the latest Super Powers variant cover by Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and Alex Saviuk: Damian Wayne Robin.
Dig the official solicitation info, which will be formally released later Friday:
BATMAN #655 FACSIMILE EDITION

Art and cover by ANDY KUBERT
Foil variant cover by ANDY KUBERT ($6.99 US)
Blank sketch cover ($4.99)
Super Powers variant cover by JASON GEYER and ALEX SAVIUK ($4.99)
A welcome lull in Gotham crime convinces Bruce Wayne he’s overdue for one of his patented carefree billionaire playboy appearances, and London’s calling. When a desperate Kirk Langstrom also shows up acting suspiciously, it’s more than enough to trip Batman’s radar. Meanwhile, Talia al Ghul monitors Bruce from afar—so that a young boy may see the face of his father. Damian Wayne makes his DC debut, and the Wayne family will never be the same!
$3.99 US | 32 pages

A few thoughts:
— As the solicitation notes, this was Damian’s first appearance, hence the Robin cover, though he didn’t officially become the Boy Wonder in this outfit until 2009’s Batman and Robin #1.
— If you don’t recall, the Damian concept was (pun intended) born in 1987’s graphic novel Batman: Son of the Demon, by Mike W. Barr and Jerry Bingham.
— Obligatory Price Comparison: An unslabbed, NM- copy of an original Batman #655 recently sold on eBay for about $100.
