Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
Metamorpho: The Element Man #5, DC. Best comic I’m reading right now. A clever — and often laugh-out-loud-funny — homage to the original Metamorpho comics of the ’60s without coming off as twee or vaguely condescending. A love letter of the best kind. (Is it just me, or do you think Urania and Java are gonna hook up?)
Scott adds: Element Dog? I’m in.

The Brave and the Bold #60 Facsimile Edition, DC. This is a just plain bananas great comic book. Wrote about it in 2021. It’s a gas! By Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani, with a Nick Cardy cover. It’s the first time the Teen Titans name was used and features the kinda-sorta-it’s-complicated debut of the Donna Troy version of Wonder Girl. There are regular and foil-cover versions, as well as a nifty sketch edition.
—
Batman #158, DC. Hush 2 continues. Too early to form an opinion. Aside from the other variants, there will be an 11″ x 17″ Giant-Size Special Edition in both standard stock and foil covers.
—
The Amazing Spider-Man #2, Marvel. Paolo Rivera always draws a great Spider-Man. Dig this variant.
—
The X-Men #134 Facsimile Edition, Marvel. The Dark Phoenix Saga moves along.

Scott Tipton, contributor-at-large, 13th Dimension
DC Finest: Superman Family: The Giant Turtle Man, DC. Giant Turtle Olsen! Now we’re talkin’. This is the good stuff.

Justice League Unlimited #6, DC. Loving this series. Why is Captain Marvel’s lightning bolt reversed, though?
