One of the books we’re most looking forward to this year is autumn’s Jim Aparo’s DC Classics Artist’s Edition, the first such publication to come from Scott Dunbier’s new shingle, Act 4.
The 192-page, 12″ x 17″ hardcover is scheduled for Sept. 30, 2025. It lists for $150 and, as we’ve reported, will be available in two basic covers:
But there will be at least two retailer-exclusive variants if you’re looking for some variety.
One, featuring the art of 1980’s Batman #324, will be available through Berlin-based Walt’s Comic Shop…
… while the other, with 1976’s Batman #284, will be offered by Indiana-based DCBS:
I’m already down for the main cover that’s based on 1975’s Limited Collectors’ Edition #C-37 (the Batman villains cover), but I gotta tell you, I really dig the Batman #324 version too. That comic had a big impact on me as a kid.
