Warner Bros. Animation, along with its sister studios, Cartoon Network Studios and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, has announced its programming line-up for the upcoming Annecy animation festival in France.
The company will have a noticeable presence at the festival this year because Hanna-Barbera produced Annecy’s official 2025 trailer. A teaser can be seen below, but the actual trailer will play during the festival ahead of all the screenings and panels:
The trailer was directed by Grant Orchard (Hey Duggee) with Ben Bocquelet (The Amazing World of Gumball) serving as executive producer. “Annecy is the highlight of our year, and it’s an honor for Warner Bros. Animation to participate in such a meaningful way,” said Sam Register, the president of all three studios. “I want to thank [Annecy Festival artistic director] Marcel Jean and the festival leadership for entrusting us with this year’s trailer, and Ben Bocquelet for his creative vision.”
Besides previewing upcoming Warner Bros. Animation series like Get Jiro and Bat-Fam, WB’s most high-profile event is is a 25th anniversary tribute to Cartoon Network Studios, which will include participation by the creators of some of the network’s most famous series.
Here is Warner Bros. Discovery’s full programming line-up for Annecy:
- Creating Creativity: Celebrating 25 Years of Cartoon Network Studios: A special event celebrating the studio that defied industry norms and defined animation for a generation of fans. The event will include a conversation with the following panelists: Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter’s Laboratory), Craig McCracken (The Powerpuff Girls), Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time), Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe), J.G. Quintel (Regular Show), and Adam Muto (Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake).
- Get Jiro: work in progress session: From Warner Bros. Animation and based on the DC/Vertigo graphic novel, Get Jiro is set in a not-too-distant future Los Angeles where master chefs rule the town and people literally kill for a seat at the best restaurants. A mysterious sushi master named Jiro enters a bloody culinary war to craft his recipe for revenge. Various members of the show’s creative team will explore the show’s creative and production process.

- Bat-Fam: making-of Session: Following the events of Merry Little Batman, Bat-Fam follows Batman, Alfred, and young Damian Wayne, who has now taken on the mantle of Little Batman, alongside a few newcomers to Wayne Manor, as they navigate the fun and frustrations of life as a super family. Members of the creative team will give a behind-the-scenes look into the artistic development and production of this Warner Bros. Animation series that will premiere this year on Prime Video.

- Studio Spotlight: Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network Studios, and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe: The studios will showcase their slate of current and upcoming film and series projects.
- Studio Focus: Adult Animation at Warner Bros. Discovery: Adult Swim and Warner Bros. Animation spotlight their strategy and efforts in the adult animation space. Speakers Michael Ouweleen (president, Adult Swim) and Peter Girardi (executive vice president, alternative programming, Warner Bros. Animation) will preview current and upcoming projects.
