A BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE starring Ibis! Bulletman! Green Lama! And MORE!
We’ve run at least four 13 COVERS salutes to artist Mac Raboy over the years and they’ve all been pretty much about Captain Marvel Jr.
It makes sense because that’s the character with whom Raboy — who was born 111 years ago, on April 9, 1914 — is most associated. (He, Ed Herron and C.C. Beck created him in 1941.)
But Raboy, one of the Golden Age’s most elegant stylists, set his pencil and brush to many other heroes of the day, both inside and outside the Fawcett stable.
